URSULA LANGE:
Dressage Trainer, Instructor, Clinician... |
Mrs. Lange has been engaged in the equestrian world since she was five years old, when she was first introduced to the sport by her family in Germany who bred Haflingers there. As a young rider in Puerto Rico, she concentrated mostly in show jumping.
After moving to Wellington more than twenty years ago, the technicality and fluidity of Dressage caught her attention. While in Wellington, she began training under the auspices of renowned rider and instructor, Allyn Schiavone. Ever since, Ursula has trained under Argentinian rider, instructor, clinician, and international judge Gabriel Armando, in Wellington and at his home base in New Jersey, as well as German rider, clinician, and instructor Verena Mahin in Los Angeles, California. She also takes advantage and participates in clinics offered in the area with professionals like Sandy Hotz, Shannon Dueck, and periodically brings in Gabriel Armando. Ursula was a member of the Puerto Rico Equestrian Team, competing in the 2010 Central American Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. She trained her Oldenburg Roquefort, since he turned four, in a bid to compete in the Central American and the Caribbean Games in Bogota, Colombia. Mrs. Lange is a member of the Puerto Rico Equestrian Federation, wherein for the years between 2010 and 2013 she was a member of its Dressage Committee participating in the organization of its events.
